Part 3 of Ezmerelda’s thing will go up tomorrow. I got distracted today by…
1) Carmen did something wicked cool in a scene toward the end DG3 today, and now I have to do some post-writing research to ensure it’s actually physically possible for her to have done it.
And…
2) Got my hands on Invisible Prey and the planet stops spinning when I’ve got me some Lucas Davenport in the house.
Oh, and just a thought. If Ezmerelda’s thing is a western—-stagecoach, horses, bandits, six-shooters—just how old does she think I am? Geez.

Lucas?
omg I hate you. I’m so far behind on him he’s grown his own TBR stack.

Remember, with #1 you can get away with anything if you provide enough realistic detail, motivation, and it makes sense in the context of your world.
Westerns: My view of these is forever twisted by the fact that I literally grew up hearing ghost stories of the old west. Told to my grandfather and uncle by a mountain man, handed down in the oral tradition. So I cannot think Western without thinking of things that walk over your grave at midnight. Which is why my Western is in a cheerful contemporary setting.
