Right on the ball

So our DVD player has been freezing up on us now, much to our aggravation.

(Oh, speaking of aggravation…the movie Solaris Syriana SUCKS.)

We hit upon the bright idea of perhaps cleaning it. We went to Walmart and they make this cool little kit for cleaning DVD players. Yay! The directions recommend doing it after every 8 hours of play.

Umm…we’ve had this DVD player six years.

every 8 hours? Be serious. Who would clean it that often.

    And yes. Solaris sucks. :grouch:

Every eight hours? Um, no.:wtf: Not me. We’ve had ours for five years and haven’t cleaned it yet. LOL I guess I need one of those kit thingies.

    It’s a disc with brushes—took 45 seconds.

Worst part: my husband didn’t believe we’d had it 6 years. I reminded him since the short kid was only a month old come the third week in December and wouldn’t know any better, we got “him” the DVD player for Christmas.

Short Kid: HEY, wait a minute! The DVD player is mine?

I’m not sure Solaris was even good enough to get the “it sucks” rating. Who thought George Clooney could put me to sleep so fast, so many days in a row?
I think I finally saw the end the 4th night I tried.

I loved Solaris. But then, I also read the book The God Particle so I was into the science and the possibilities. Yes, I am a geek.

Charli’s comment made me think…then check imdb. It wasn’t Solaris we watched. It was Syriana. (Watched being a stretch, since we both fell asleep.) Both had George Clooney, though.

I guess I’ll have to catch Solaris.
