Okay, where was I?
Lost: This show jumped the shark when they blew the hatch, but my husband still makes me watch it. I miss the polar bear and the freaky black cloud, and they’ve diluted the story by having way too many characters now.
Shark: (I forget what night this is on.) It’s okay. The husband likes it more than I do, and I find the daughter annoying as hell.
Survivor: They should never have messed with the original formula. I’m still addicted, but I don’t enjoy it as much. This season sucks so far. When you give one team everything from toilet paper to a couch and the other doesn’t even have water, that’s too much manipulation by the producers. And I don’t like the hidden immunity idol, either.
CSI: More Warrick, less Catherine. More Gil and Sara secret lust.
NUMB3RS: A favorite. I’m not sure how much of it is quality writing and how much is my 16-year unrequited love affair with Rob Morrow, but I love the show. I do wish Larry hadn’t taken a hiatus in space in order to play a stupid role in this stupid season of 24.
(I’m sorry, but the 24 writers totally sold Curtis’s characterization down the river for a dumb, manipulated moment of mediocre drama and, as a longtime viewer, I resent that.)
What else do I watch?…
Oh, Men in Trees: I resisted this one at first because it seemed like a rip-off of Northern Exposure (see above infatuation with Rob Morrow) and it is…but maybe that’s why I like it. I AM a little turned off by the Marin/Jack/Lynn thing. I have two episodes taped, so I haven’t met Cash yet. I have to say, though, that Plow Guy is the most charismatic character on the show.
Show I used to love but am now EH about: The Shield.
Shows I mourn in a big way: Deadwood and Firefly.

It was good! Not being a city girl, I had some issues with a ’60s/’70s Goodfellas-type story set in the current day, but I’m told life’s still like that in the big city. Overall, it was different enough from everything else to catch my attention, and the story was good. And I like the actor who plays Tommy Donnelly.
I’ll give it a :thumb: for now. I’ll be watching next week.
