Shannon Stacey

Hi-ho, sicky, away

Well, I hate to release a book and run, but….Columbus Day equals last big ATV-riding camping trip of the year. (Although…we’re talking about going up for Thanksgiving. We have to convince our rigid, rule-minding tall kid the world will not go spinning wildly out of orbit and crash into the poor, tossed-away planet formerly known as Pluto if the Stacey family doesn’t have turkey for Thanksgiving. The short kid, on the other hand, doesn’t care if we have Cheerios, as long as there’s cranberry sauce.)

Anyway. Where was I?

Oh, so illness descended upon me like ton of sinus-swelling, throat-scratching, chest-compressing bricks this morning. That’s okay. The hard frost we’re bound to encounter up north will do the little germies good. Or kill me. Either way, nothing’s keeping me off my 4-wheeler this weekend. We’re also going to try to take the Christmas card picture.

Anyway. Where was I?

Probably still popping Sudafed like Smarties.

So….anyway. I’ll be around a bit in the morning, but pretty busy trying to get everything together (especially since I seem to be moving as if I’m wading through half-gelled Jello). We’re leaving as soon school lets out, and we’ll be back Sunday.

Have a good long weekend!

(((((hugs))))) Get well soon, Shan, and have a lovely trip! I know what you mean about a good chill hitting the germs hard, especially if you can do something active and get your core temp right up!

And can you cook turkey burgers over the fire? That way you get turkey, but camping turkey….

BTW, I’m absolutely loving Khail. Gah. I’m not sure you’re allowed to be this talented, you know. I think it has the potential to throw the universe out of balance… :cheesy:

Hey Shannon, read and enjoyed Kiss Me Deadly last night. I was going to write but I’m coming down with this cold you have. (Blows nose.)

Loved the wereraven hero and the heroine’s sense of humor!

    Enjoy your weekend.
