Which way did she go?

I know. I’m a bad blogger. :hide:

I’m still knee-deep in Werebird right now. I’m not sure what it is about this book, but this one will only come with pen and paper. As you can imagine, since I’m writing this one by hand, I’m very glad it’s a novella. The good news—almost done.

For now, here’s a couple of pictures from this past weekend:

The short kid got to meet the object of his obsession. It was a lot of fun—he got to ride the train pulled by Thomas, meet Sir Topham Hatt, ride in a railcar, and drop major coinage in the “gift shop” tent.

Here’s the tall kid posing with the boiler of an old engine of the Cog Railway. The railway, which scales Mount Washington, is an engineering marvel, and my kid was just beside himself seeing it all.

We’re going camping this weekend, and Werebird is not the book I want to be working on there, so I’ll be scarce for a few more days. Maybe I’ll just keep torturing y’all with pictures.

Go Shan, you can beat the bird! :write:

I just feel like Humperdink in the Princess Bride lately. “I have my wedding to plan, my wife to murder, and Gilder to frame for it. I’m swamped!” (Writing scenes with weddng and frame jobs and, well, sort of murder…)
