Excerpts

It’s ironic that PBW has a post on excerpts today, because that’s exactly what my editor wants from me today. Plus I need to get one up here.

I hate choosing excerpts. More than synopses. More than blurbs.

And this one’s especially hard for me because the hero and heroine aren’t together right off the bat. But I’d better go figure it out because she wields a vicious whip.

I think if I had to choose an excerpt scene, I’d have to go with one early in chapter one. It introduces the three main characters (my triangle) and it ends with a bit of a pop.

By the way I just bought Twice Upon a Roadtrip. It’s next on my list to read after I finish Post Captain by Patrick O’Brian (I bet you haven’t heard that very often).

Ah, the original Captain Jack? :thumb:

    I’ll just over here :hide:

I have this image of Angie’s whip having a long wooden handle. And on that handle are notches. Like notches on the grip of an assassin’s gun.

(I’m just going to live under here now.)
