BenGay is my new BFF

I’m back. I’m sore—can barely move my shoulders at all. But I had mud from the tips of my boots to my hair, so it was so worth it.

I’ve also been reading! :woot: Back on June 7th, I said:

I’ve picked up and put down about 20 different romances in the last two weeks. It’s time to get me some John Sandford, Lee Child and Jeffrey Deaver.

I managed to bust through my romance slump. The first one to break through was Seducing Simon by Maya Banks. It was a really fun, yet emotionally engaging story and I adored the chemistry between the main characters. I can’t wait for the sequel. Because there MUST be one. Must.

Next up was Betting Hearts by Dee Tenorio. Another really fun book with great chemistry.

Both of those were friends-to-lovers stories, too, which I think adds to the depth of the HEA. Love them!

I’m also this close to finishing Animal Instincts by Gena Showalter. There are some truly hilarious moments in this book! And, like the others—a fun read with great chemistry.

I’m sure my craving for fun romances comes from my trying to keep my muses’s funny side repressed right now, but I don’t care. I got to read three thumbs-up books in a row.

:thumb:

Anybody have recommendations for more really fun books with great chemistry?

I agree with you on Betting Hearts. I just finished it Saturday. Great read.

Before that was Twice Upon a Roadtrip by Shannon Stacey. Parts of that one had me laughing out loud.

I liked Ex’s and Oh’s by Sandra Steffen, too. It was a Harlequin NEXT book that my sister loaned me.

Next up is 72 Hours since I just won a gift certificate to buy it.

Oh dear. How to say this. Hmmm. Uh there IS no sequel. Never planned one, though I’ve been inundated with requests lately. SS is something I wrote a few years ago when I desperately needed a break from my big plot heavy stories. It was a blast to write, and it was the first southern set book I’d written, but I never went into it with the intent of writing sequels for all the secondary characters hehe

But Im glad you liked the chemistry between all the characters, because it was my favorite part of the book to write.

Cool, Bryan! I hope you enjoy 72 Hours.

Sharon, but…but…but…That’s it. I’m going to start writing Seducng Simon fanfic.

    :cheesy:

Just kidding. But you know if you ever decide to revisit the boys, I’ll be the first in line!

I’m in the middle of Betting Hearts right now. I had trouble turning off my ppc last night. I just wanted to keep reading.
