Minesweeping

I’ve got the blog blahs again. (Or still?)

I think I’m a bit bummed I’m not in Daytona. Yes, I could have gone and chose not to. I’m SO not a social creature in real life. Introvert extraordinaire. But when the event, whether it’s RT or RWA, is actually going on, I feel disconnected, like I’m missing all the good stuff. Have y’all seen anybody actively blogging from RT? I’m dying for pictures and scuttlebutt.

And it occurs to me (not that I paused to play a game or anything *blink*) that the nice thing about the laptop being primarily mine is owning the high scores. *g*

So, for lack of anything meaningful to say (I want to blog about Karen’s ATBF column, but I want to spend more time on that), here are my Minesweeper high scores: (It being my game of choice, because Zuma—my favorite—takes at least 20 mins to play and I try to resist.)

Beginner: 8 seconds
Intermediate: 85 seconds
Expert: 234 seconds

See…taking a break for 234 seconds is forgivable, right? :cheesy:

    And five hours later…

Shannon’s new best time is 233 seconds

I know exactly where you are coming from.

By the way, I started a new blog about writing and photography, so if you checked the one before and said :wtf: why would I want to talk about politics… this one should be more in line with the subject at hand. I’m going to try to use it as the journal that everyone said I should keep… so we’ll see about that.

    :lmao:

Still stuck on 234, but I’m workin’ on it!

    :hide:

    I mean…I’m :type: Yup. That’s it.

And you have some awesome shots on your blog! I especially like the railroad tracks. It makes me remember the feeling of freedom in summer as a kid.

    :thumb: Nice job!

And isn’t it hard writing scenes out of order? I think, if I could change one thing about my process, that it would be to start on page one and write straight through to the end.

Alas, my writing monkeys don’t swing that way.

    Oh, you’re so bad…

Of course I’ve been sitting here all day working on blog and website stuff when I should be typing everything I wrote on Sunday. :type:

By the way, I added a slideshow link on the image page. :woot: Only took me three hours to figure it out.

The regular website is still the OLD one… don’t go there yet because the new one will be totally awesome when it’s finished. Um, but we’re supposed to be writing aren’t we? :type::whip:

    :wtf:

Oops. I signed off and back on just to make sure and guess what? It tells me it can’t find the photos.

Back to the drawing board.

Well, when I go to your blog and click on the ‘images’ in the sidebar, it brings me to the four photos, along with the descriptions.

Okay, look again… at the bottom of the page should be a link to the slideshow. I think it works now.

I’m not there either and I’m feeling sorry for myself. Maybe I’ll feel sorry for you for a change.

No one’s around to bug.:cry::cry::cry:
