The tall kid came home early from school yesterday sick, and we passed a rough night, so I’m cheating today. Nipped from Angie’s blog:
Current Clothing: Jeans, a lime green hoodie, and my new Nike sneakers (after being a Reebok girl for years) with the lime green trim.
Current Hair: I don’t know, but I’m betting it ain’t good. Imagine Dorothy Hamill in 1976 if she spent a few hours rubbing her head with balloons.
Current Mood: Bitchy. I spent the night in the husband’s recliner because the sick tall kid was on the couch and I still can’t hold my head completely straight without pain.
Current Refreshment: 3/4 of the way through my first large Dunkin Donuts iced coffee (cream only) of the day. I’m guessing I might hit 5 today.
Current Annoyance: :lmao: Everything.
Current Avoidance: Going to the accountant to pick up the company tax crap so we can switch to personal tax crap. Microsoft Word.
Current Smell: Bleach.
Current Thing You Ought to be Doing: Editing. Bookkeeping. Going to the accountant.
Current Thing or Things on Your Wall: I’m in the living room, so…an antique map of Marblehead, Mass, from whence the husband’s family comes. An antique pipe that belonged to the husband’s great uncle Charlie. (I’m going clockwise around the room *g*) A photograph of my husband’s father, who passed away when my husband was a little boy. A very old photo of the husband’s mother with her parents. In the place of honor over the entertainment center is a large black and white print of Ayrton Senna in his McLaren. A larger signed photo-poster of Adam Vinateri taken as the ball passed through the uprights when he kicked the field goal that won Superbowl XXXVI. (Which I would have placed in the place of honor, but that would have required moving the entertainment center crap, which would have required cleaning behind it and I just don’t go there). The hospital baby pics of the two boys. Then their school pictures. Umm…thermostat. And (see my eyes rolling here) a watercolor of a snow-covered red barn that my husband had to have from an auction. The only thing I hate more than watercolor barns are watercolor ducks. (That hangs in the upstairs hallway.)
Current IM person You’re Talking to: Jaci, Angie, Mandy (who’s like a pingpong ball) and Mel just left for work.
Current Jewelry: Wedding band, engagement shiny, ten-year anniversary band on my left hand; mother’s ring on my right. (Holy crap, I used a semicolon!)
Current Book: Writing—finishing up 72 Hours and wanting desperately to be writing anything else. Reading—a Spice arc and reluctantly finishing up my RITA books.
Now you play along!

I thought you were reading J.D. Robb?

I would be, since I spent money to expedite getting Seduction In Death, but THEN I remembered that damn anthology novella that comes before it. And I haven’t gotten to the library to get that yet because of Pukey the Wonderkid.

Looks like fun (the q&a thing, not the pukey kid).
So here goes:
Current Clothing: Jeans, pill-y blue tunic sweater that’s older than my youngest child, slipper socks.
Current Hair: Wet. Getting to the aha-you-DO-color-your-hair stage. :eyebrow:
Current Mood: When I wake up I’ll let you know.
Current Refreshment: Lessee. . .sitting here, I spy half a can of Pepsi One left over from yesterday, a nearly empty bottle of water, chocolate chips (Ghiradelli 60% cocoa), a jar of unsalted dry roasted peanuts.
Current Annoyance: That I’m PMSing at 53. :wtf:
Current Avoidance: Writing. Taxes. Making beds.
Current Smell: Beautiful by Estee Lauder.
Current Thing You Ought to be Doing: Writing. Taxes. Making beds.
Current thing or Things on Your Wall: I’m in my office, so not much. A trio of small kitty plaques from Target; a clock that I can only hear out of my right ear; an old watercolor of irises that we’ve had forever but I have no idea where it came from; my bulletin board which is behind me so I actually never see it, but includes a two-year-old marker drawing of a cat and a puppy from #5, a freebie Norman Rockwell calendar from the local Realtor, a list with all my passwords (don’t say it — and anyway, if someone wants to hack into my Art Fact Sheet program on eHarlequin, they’re welcome to it), #4’s W-2, assorted printed out e-mails, and #4’s PS2 warranty.
Current IM person You’re Talking to: Nobody. I’m not a big IM person, although #3 will pop up every now and again.
Current Jewelry: Diamond anniversary ring I wear on my left hand since I haven’t been able to wear my wedding ring since 1984 or thereabouts and my engagement ring (which I couldn’t wear, either) was stolen shortly after the birth of #3.
Current Book: Writing: The third book in my SSE series that began with MARRIAGE, INTERRUPTED Reading: IN HER SHOES by Jennifer Weiner

I am so bored … and can’t write a sentence that doesn’t suck. I’ll give it a try.
Current Clothing: Jeans; white socks; dark orange shirt.
Current Hair: Just getting to that please-wash-me stage; and the roots and silver hairs are starting to peak out again. Need to break out the Loreal.
Current Mood: tired
Current Refreshment: Diet Vanilla Pepsi on ice
Current Annoyance: That I cannot write a sentence that doesn’t suck. Did I mention this already? :write:
Current Avoidance: Dishes; sweeping; laundry; going to bed.
Current Smell: Vanilla Sugar body mist (on me); smelly dog lying on the floor.
Current Thing You Ought to be Doing: Writing. Loading the dishwasher. Sweeping the floor. Going to bed.
Current thing or Things on Your Wall: Nothing. I’m in our ‘school room’ with very barren, white walls. Unless you count that little drawing done by one of my munchkins some odd months ago. Haven’t gotten around to getting rid of it. The drawing, not the kid.
Current IM person You’re Talking to: Nobody. All my IM buddies seem to be sleeping. Go figure.
Current Jewelry: Plain gold wedding band on left hand. The solitare I got for our tenth (to replace the original diamond that fell out of its setting) is in a box upstairs. The new one needs a new setting since band broke in half. I don’t have great luck with rings.
Current Book: reWriting: Irish historical romance that I can’t seem to let die; Reading: nothing at the moment, but recently finished Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
