Which way did she go?

A quick post and run…

The weather’s horribly crappy today. The kids will probably get out early. They shouldn’t have gone at all, except our school does two bus runs—the high school for 7:30 and the little ones for 8:30—and it wasn’t snowing when the earliest buses headed out at like 6am. And once they’re committed, they’re committed.

The AFC game was no surprise, but the NFC shocked me. Since Pittsburgh’s had a Superbowl win and Seattle’s never been to the big game, we’ll probably root for the Seahawks. Plus we hate the Steelers—we just hated the Broncos more.

When did television programming get so good? We got a DVR through our cable company which is essentially the same concept as Tivo, and we have like 7 hours worth of shows to watch! The ease with which we can watch one thing and tape something else has turned us into TV addicts.

Best new finds (which may not be new to others): Book of Daniel, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Criminal Minds, Dancing with the Stars.

Must. Write. Dammit.

I read an article at CNN yesterday that said the weather in Moscow (I think) isn’t supposed to rise above zero until Februrary. They hit -36 the other day. I am feeling the Texas love!

We’ve had some crazy weather—in the high forties, low fifties more days than not this month. Very bizarre.

(It’s because my husband bought a snowmobile.)

But not today. Brrr….and shovel and shovel and shovel…

    You HATE the Steelers?

We don’t HATE the Patriots. Yeesh! In fact, my brother is a huge Pats fan & we like them–just not when we’re playing them. But still, we aren’t nasty to the Pats. Cleveland, yes, we hate the Browns.

I so wanted this for Jerome Bettis. He deserves to go to the Super Bowl his last year. He took a pay cut to stay in the Burg and he has helped a lot of the kids here.

Anyhow, having your same crazy weather. Although it was rain/ice off and on and then the sun came out. We’ve had a relatively mild winter here, so I look for some serious snow come Feb. Or, with our luck, March. Hey, it’s happened.

    Are you writing?

Now I can’t remember what I was going to say…..

    Oh yeah.

We’ve noticed a shift in programming – a whole slew of new dramas, comedies and stuff. Does this mean the demise of reality shows and a return to good, quality programming???

    PLEASE GOD YES.

    :woot:

Sorry, hate the Steelers. If da Bus really wanted a ring, he’d have skipped the paycut and jumped teams. (Although I do predict that this year’s Bowl will be tight as hell.)

I HEART reality TV, so I hope they’re not going to be totally demised.

I love cold weather. We had minus 12°Celsius last night, that’s exactly my idea of fun. Reminded me of Sweden.

A nice walk in the cold, then some hot tea :coffee: and my world is fine despite my characters screwing my plot. Maybe they need some tea, too.

No, okay, there’s room for some good reality shows – but when the only new TV that’s being funded is reality, we’re in deep trouble….

Off to see the Teglia Tattler… :woot:
