The fat lady sings

The season is officially over for my Patriots. I’d say the :censor: Broncos won, but they didn’t. We lost it all on our own, considering all of their points came on turnovers.

*moment of silence*

So now I’m left pondering whether to root for the Colts or the Steelers. I’m not sure I care which team wins as long as they totally and painfully demolish the :censor: Broncos. (Which won’t be hard since the :censor: Broncos didn’t play for crap. We just played worse.)

And so ends the three-peat dream.

And as a consolation prize I get to attend a Home Depot tool auction tomorrow. Aren’t I lucky? It’s not like I have to write or anything.

Maybe I’ll just kiss the AFC off totally and root for the Redskins.

    Sorry your Pats lost, Shannon.

I suggest you root for the Houston Texans now.

    :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Josh and Brianna have respectfully requested your support of the Colts. Brianna is offering up a picture of her in her Colts cheerleading outfit :cheer: as a bribe. Josh is offering up a picture of him out of his Colts jersey as a bribe. Uhh…nevermind…

Yes, I will root for the Texans since they have as good a shot as the Redskins. Or the Pats for that matter.

What’s really sad is that I watched the Seahawks beat the Redskins yesterday. Clearly losing our three-peat shot has given me football dementia.

I’m open to bribes. What else is Josh wearing besides the jersey, Angie?

Erm, is Drew Bledsoe still the QB for NEP? or is he from another era altogether?

Not for several years now. Tom Brady’s the man now.

Bledsoe’s QBing for the Buffalo Bills now.

    Or trying to anyway.

Maybe if they’d spent less time making semi-funny commercials and more time reading Turnover Prevention for Morons, we wouldn’t be sitting around in New England with nothing to look foward to but pitchers & catchers reporting to Fort Myers.

I guess I should pick somebody. The pain of the Steel Curtain lingers. I’ve never been a Steelers fan. Plus when we moved to Missouri my mom stopped and filled the gas tank and we got a free Colts glass. It’s the only non-Pats football merchandise I’ve ever owned. So I’ll root for the Colts. That’ll set up an even better Manning/Brady grudge match for next year.

Football has been a complete bust for me, no?

From here on out, I don’t really care, other than praying for the complete, utter, humiliating, painful, demoralizing, bone-breaking destruction of the Bears.

    I. HATE. The. Bears.

No one can resist the power of the NFC side.

And Tom Brady? Wasn’t he a :censor: Viking?

    You poor, poor :censor:

Nope. 6th round draft pick for the Pats in 2000. It’s worked out well for us.

(When you look at Bruschi’s stroke, the injuries we’ve suffered, losing Weiss and Belichick’s dad passing away, having even made the playoffs means they’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.)

Hey, we were totally robbed. :cursin: That pass interference call on Samuel was so :wtf: I was extremely grateful my kids were in bed and couldn’t hear Mommy’s potty mouth.

Yeah, yeah, one play doesn’t make a game. That’s MY line.

So now we know. Poor Colts lost (Manning is a class act and I would have rooted for him without a thought). So now we have the :censor: Steelers against the :censor: Broncos and to make it worse, I live in a house with a Browns fan. Rooting for EITHER AFC team is going to ruin my marriage.

Does your hatred of the Bears go back to 1985?

LOL, ahhh, Shan, welcome to my life–I’m a Chargers fan. We lost on two dumb-ass games ( to MIAMI! The humanity!) and didn’t even get to the playoffs. Still, my superbowl was beating the crap out of Indy. Still, I felt bad for Peyton. (We San Diegans will never appreciate Eli, but Peyton’s a sweetie)

As for grudge matches, lol, sadly it’s like no one’s noticed that Drew Brees is Tom Brady’s kryptonite. Wonder why. :)

Still, it’s going to be a party here when the Steelers beat the piss out of Denver. We might have opposing coasts–and teams–but we’re all going to enjoy that shellacking. :)

    Smooches,
    Dee

Oh, it just might. And everytime I see that damn logo, those hideous music videos flash through my mind.

    Drew Brees…Kryptonite….

    :lmao:

Even Schottenheimer said that game was won because the Pats were so depleted by injuries we could barely field a team. We had like…7-8 new startes, and lost Harrison.

    Bring him on! :cheer:

I meant to get over here sooner and uh, tell you how sad I was for the Pats. I know you wanted us to lose so that you didn’t have to play them.

I’m not going to trash talk or anything because I never kick someone when they’re down. However, when we lost to you last year, I rooted for the Pats. I thought it was an East Coast thing. I’m guessing I thought wrong.:neener:

Jerome *The Bus* Bettis deserves to go to the Superbowl and he deserves a ring. We fought long and hard and came back when everyone counted us down and out for the count and despite a bad call from a :censor::censor::censor:referee, we beat the Colts at their own game.

You’ll get em’ next year, Shan–but remember, your state can’t get everything dammit. You won the World Series. :cheesy:

    Lubs ya!
