The Good:
Here’s a portion of Just Erotic Romance Review’s review of Twice Upon A Roadtrip:
Twice Upon a Roadtrip is a fun, sexy book about a fling during a road
trip. Jill can’t really deal with stress and conflict. Whenever things
get dicey, she high tails it out of there. She thinks that a fling with
Ethan is just perfect. No strings attached. Imagine her surprise when
she begins to think about a future with him. As they manage to find
themselves in one disaster after another, Jill starts to wonder how she
will deal with life without Ethan. While I was reading the book, I
could actually see how the right man can change your attitude about
life and marriage. When Ethan meets Jill, he finds that he is attracted
to her sassy attitude. He wants the wife, the kids, the whole nine
yards which is the exact opposite of Jill. But how boring is that? Jill
excites him and he knows that life with her will never be boring. The
verbal sparring between Jill and Ethan was funny and witty. They seemed
very comfortable with each other during their conversations and their
sexual chemistry was pretty hot from the very beginning. It’s pretty
ironic considering they didn’t start off on the right foot. The sex is
frisky, fun, playful and most importantly hot. I guess all that sexual
tension came in handy in the bedroom. Twice Upon a Roadtrip is a
wonderful debut novel by Ms. Stacey. I expect great things from this up
and coming author.Ann Lee

The Bad:
I spent yesterday helping the husband build up a railroad tie retaining wall. 200 pound-per-piece ties times a very tall wall equals me barely able to lift my Dunkin Donuts cup. It’s a very good thing I drink iced coffees and therefore have a straw I can just kind of drop my weary head down to.
And I owe about 300 people emails right now.
The Ugly:
The husband’s company has need of an employee, so I get to delve into the dark and sinister world of employment taxes, withholding, FICA, workman’s comp and more. My profound thought of the day?
WTF is a FUTA tax? *snort*
Have I mentioned if I have another child I’m naming it H&R Block?

:cheer: YAY on the great review. Here’s to many others…. :coffee: (since we don’t have a “drinker” emoticon)
Bleh on payroll stuff. The paperwork’s bad enough when you’re self employed. I feel for ya, hon! (hint: check into payroll service, they do it all and take the liability too…)
and the RR ties? Shannon “muscles” Stacey… I pick you for my team.
