The 24 clock is ticking in my head

6 days until Twice Upon A Roadtrip releases! I’m all a’jitter and can’t seem to sit still.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. We have a gas fireplace-stove-thingy in my office which “takes the edge off” the downstairs and, due to its high-effiency, complements our boiler quite well. Unfortunately, massive summer-grown piles of books, papers, folders and more piled around said gas fireplace is considered a safety no-no. Since we’re hovering right around the frost mark in the mornings, it’s time to de-fire hazzard the office.

We also might be moving our departure for camping from Thurs the 6th to Fri the 7th because of the ginormous amount of work the husband & co have going on. Considering I was a little bummed about leaving town the day after my book releases (Paging Dr. Freud…) and I’m in no way prepared for an arctic vacation yet, that’s not a bad thing.

All this stuff, combined with the short kid’s allergies, has sent my muse far under the desk. I’m hoping to see her tomorrow. And I haven’t seen my blogging muse in days.

So off I go to try to stack my piles of books in such a way they aren’t in contact with extreme heat and/or fire, and I’ll leave you with a saying that my mother cross-stitched for me (Paging Dr. Freud…code red):

I’ve gone to find myself. If I’m not here when I get back, keep me here.

    Brrrrr. Get the office toasty warm and the muse will come out to play. Hugs on the release. It will be great and everyone will buy it. Right? *kicks everyone’s chairs…. RIGHT?* There, that’s better :).

    Love your little status chart on the side… thinking, eh?

    :dance::woot::dance:

    I’m going back and forth between an urge to jump up and down screaming and an urge to crawl under my desk.

    I’m going to blog about The Widowmaker tomorrow. Or aspects of it that have caused me no end of grief. It’s not retired. And I’ve got an entirely new ending that’s been in my head for about 5 hours waiting for me to have the opportunity to write it down.

    You know what would help with those piles? Yep, time to hit the post office :neener:

    And I’m wondering, with the 24 hour clock, do you hear Keifer Sutherland’s voice saying “the following takes place between the hours of 8am and 9am”? Just wondering :cheesy:
