eHQ redesign

Well, it’s after 2am, and I think we’re finally wrapping it up and going to bed.

Check it out: eHarlequin.com community

If you’re an eHQ regular, it may look daunting at first, but it really is easier to navigate, is organized more efficiently, and it’s just all ’round wicked cool. And it has smilies!

And, needless to say, y’all can run amok in the morning since the entire hostie entourage and the kick-ass techie were up til the wee hours and want to sleep in.

(No, you can’t run amok, really. We never sleep. You know that.)

Whoo! Looks good, I like the new look but I had no strong attachments to the old one since I mostly only went over there to order. It does seem to have some bugs (as I found when I tried to post) but I think that’s to be expected when there is so much to put up!

Looks like y’all have some unhappy members. People do hate change! But I really think the look is nice, although not all of it is immediately user friendly (finding some of the stuff was confusing). But you all did a fantastic job and I know you’re going to have to deal with a shitstorm the next short while until people get used to it.

Just remember Shan, the :penguin: is always there for you

Thank you, ladies. :diva: (That’s from all of us. Believe me, Dee and Rae pulled most of the workload—sucks to have seniority!)

It does take a while to figure out, as we know because we had our own mini-shitstorm last night (this morning?) “OMG, where’s my thread?” “OMG, where’s my button?” Let’s just say that the techie could probably go quite happily throughout today without hearing from or talking to a female.

And the Online Reads are Dee’s department, so she’s in it the deepest. :lmao:

    j/k

I quit visiting eHarlequin last year some time. I have cable internet, and I can’t think of another professional/businss site that takes so long to load. Half the time after waiting, the pages don’t come up anyway. I don’t know what sort of server the site runs on, but that should be the next upgrade!!

You think it was slow then?

    :lmao:

My understanding (reached, however, at about 2:30 am) is that the server it’s on goes through caching and stuff and it will get faster. I hope. Right now I can’t even get it to load. :baby:

They were having a pretty cool discussion on the “Do Not Disturb” series, though! :cheer:

Hopefully it’ll be all smoothed out and quick as bunnies by then. :thumb:

(Of course, since I can’t even get it load or post for me, it’s gotta get better from here :baby:)

Okay, that didn’t go as well as anticipated, so it’s down and we’ll try again. :baby:

You know what that means? Hosties with free time running amok! :woot:

I love the new look. And yes I know there are issues with the loading right now, but from what little I did have the patience to see, it looks way more user friendly and organised.

The new look is pretty but I’ll admit I did get lost trying to find the link that I occasionally post to … Anyway, you hosts all work very hard, so thanks for that!
