Can you hear the crickets?

I’m trying really hard to come up with something to talk about. Writing’s a touchy subject right at the moment. It’s too hot to be funny. I’m not keeping up well enough to join in other topics in the blogosphere.

My pretty new site’s almost done, though. *wiggle* Ironing out some tiny last details and then y’all can see it, too.

And here is a very interesting article sent to me by a friend to comfort me in my vanillalicious-ness. Good reading, for sure.

And tomorrow (I had to look at the clock, but it’s still 5 mins til midnight) a good friend’s first book goes on sale, and I’ll definitely be back in the morning with the details. OMG, she’s funny and her voice kicks ass.

Hey, I guess I did have stuff to talk about. Now if only my characters would talk to me.

Are we talking BD? I went to see if I could get her book and it’s not up yet. And if you can’t write about anything fun, then pimp the contest at my blog. Dammit.

Borrowing that from Jaci to toss roses at Ann and her new release. Whoo hoo!

Thanks for the link.. I find that interesting enough to possibly blog about it myself, sooner or later. :)

Sometimes you can just say it in emoticons.

I think that means you need coffee, the cheers of friends, and the whips of friends, too….

    (perks up) Whips?

I’ve been deleting more posts than actually posting them. I’ve been terribly tempted to comment on the why can’t all us writers get alongers and the you should breastfeed your baby during your own booksignings lactivists. Then again, I’ve always been tempted to kick a hornet’s nest, just to see if I could outrun them….

Vanilla’s the old standby for a reason, Shannon! It never goes out of style.
