Proof of stupidity

You know your cats are stupid when…

They eat half the corn broom while you answer the phone, even though they know–from experience–that what went in must come out.

You know your man is stupid when…

You set a Swiffer Wet pad on the counter, and he walks by and says “Period getting heavier in your old age?”

You know the neighbor’s kid is stupid when…

He sneers when you drive by with “Winner Takes it All” blaring. (One does not sneer at ABBA when I have the nose of a 1/2 ton, 4×4 pickup pointed in one’s general direction.)

And you know a writer is royally screwed when…

Your heroine doesn’t think your hero is worth the hassle. AFTER the black moment.

Not worth the hassle, eh? Isn’t that a little bit TOO realistic???

I shall refrain from commenting on ABBA. Though I’ll have you know it’s taking a considerable amount of restraint.

perhaps your characters should talk to my characters. Maybe between them all we can get our respective plots ironed out. :cursin:

Or our characters will turn into swingers and all run off with each other. :type:

And when I’m not listening to ABBA, I’m listening to….

    MATCHBOX 20! :neener:

I need to move her freakout. There are aspects of the hero’s lifestyle which really hit her when they decided to be spend the rest of their lives together. THEN she says…oh wait–but you’re dead!

How about we get our plots together and kill off all the heroes thereby ensuring it will be made into a movie

Could star Mel Gibson, he’s already used to being killed off as the hero

It’ll be tricky seeing as how two of the heroes are already dead. :eyebrow:

And, yes, BJ, his is. I’m just very careful not to let him know I think so. :cheesy:

OMG, I adore your smilies. :baby:

    But… what’s a corn broom???

As for the heroine…. you could make that reluctance part of her own insecurities? A further level of self-defence?

On the surface she’s saying, “Pffft. He’s not worth my time.” Underneath she’s thinking she could never be lucky enough to have an HEA like that.

    Just a thought.

Yeah, but it’s all going to happen in revision, because we’re talking the next to last page when she balks. There’s the sunrise, there’s the horse, and the bitch stopped with one foot in the stirrup.

I hate heroines. Maybe I should just write M/M romances.
