This is kind of neat, from Sylvia’s blog: (You use your birthdate to find what tree you are)
Here’s me:
Weeping Willow (Melancholy) – likes to be stress free, loves family life, full of hopes and dreams, attractive, very empathetic, loves anything beautiful, musically inclined, loves to travel to exotic places, restless, capricious, honest, can be influenced but is not easy to live with when pressured, sometimes demanding, good intuition, suffers in love until they find that one loyal, steadfast partner; loves to make others laugh.
Hmmm…that’s not bad, although traveling to exotic places is a little off base considering I damn near break out in hives if I have to leave New Hampshire, and go into full anaphylactic shock if I have to leave New England.
But I needed a feel good moment today. For as long as I can remember I’ve fought insomnia–I can actually remember lying awake in a toddler bed–and the clock changes are hell on me. I am literally snarling at people today, so I’m just sitting over here in the corner. The change affects the short kid, too, so we’ve had a challenging day. The husband and the tall kid are impervious, the peckahheads.
The husband’s ever-so-sympathetic response is always “Look at the clock–that’s what time it is.”
So, anyway. I’m under my not-fit-for-company rock today. :snore:

I LOATHE daylight savings. LOATHE it. I want to get up with the sun like farmers do. Get my work done, and bring the cows home. I will be a total bitch for the next six months. Watch out! (Well, except when doing white websites!)

Lime Tree (Doubt) – intelligent, hard working, accepts what life dishes out, but not before trying to change bad circumstances into good ones, hates fighting and stress, enjoys getaway vacations, may appear tough, but is actually soft and relenting. Always willing to make sacrifices for family and friends, has many talents, but not always enough time to use them, can become a complainer, great leadership qualities, is jealous at times but extremely loyal.
I could be a tree – they probably get lots more sleep than me:snore:
