Yet another snow day

Three boys running amok through my writing time. And yet, I’m trying. Unfortunately, I’ve called my hero Luke instead of Tomas at least six times.

My muse needs to spend a little more time writing, and a little less time trying to watch Star Wars with the boys.

We might get another snow day Thursday, too. I hope not. My two boys alone amuse themselves and each other pretty well. Throw in the tall child’s friend, who spends snow days with us and diverts the tall child’s attention from his short brother, and it’s a day of whining, fighting and door slamming.

Plus, I can’t risk the kids’ safety to forge my 4×4 way through the weather to Dunkin Donuts, so I’m already caffeine-deprived. Maybe it’s a good day for mucking out the desk.

Am I the only one dying for the Golden Heart announcements? I didn’t enter (like I’m going to shell out $50 for some person who may or may not be qualified to give me a number?), but I judged LC, and there was one entry in there–one of two without a name on it–that had better final. I’ll lose what little faith I have left in the contest if it doesn’t. It was incredibly good, and I’m dying to know who wrote it. Ooooh, maybe now that the scoresheet’s gone and I can’t be influenced, I should doing some googling. Maybe said writer has an excerpt or current works thing on her site.

Oh God. I’d actually forgotten (I’m serious) about the GH thing until now.

Now I think I’m going to spew.

Oh,no, it’s okay. I just checked the date. It’s WEEKS yet.

    *goes back to forgetting*
