Blogging…stuff

I’ve been hung up on my old blogspot blog. Its lingering presence annoyed me, and yet I couldn’t bring myself to delete it. I had run the import to WordPress, and I managed to get Feb’s posts, but no matter what I did I couldn’t get January’s. I got aggravated and let it sit.

But it was bugging me. And some pretty momentous things happened to me in January, and I didn’t want to flush them out into cyberspace like astronaut piss. So, I just finished copying the posts into WordPress. With the edit timestamp button I was able to repost each individual message into WP. But, I wanted the comments, too. So I copied each post’s comments in one batch and posted it to the appropriate WP post. So, of course, it looks like there’s 1, when there’s really more. It’s not perfect, but I’ve got my posts, got the comments, and I didn’t have to wrestle with the importer yet again.

Of course, I deleted the blogger blog, and it still shows up. Whaddevah.

One thing I noticed while going through this laborious, but gloriously mindless activity was that my blog used to be funnier than it is now. Maybe I’m not drinking enough coffee. I’ll buy two large iced coffees tomorrow morning and see if that helps.

That’s because you’re obsessing with all this stuff instead of having fun. Bring back the fun…God knows I need a place to come and laugh *g*
