I’ve always loved Christmas romances best, but this year? It’s a little crazy. Maybe because I didn’t write a Christmas story this year, I seem to want to read all the Christmas romances in all the land! Here’s what’s landed on my phone already this year, and it’s only the first week of November. There will be many, many more, especially once I have the time to really sit and go through Harlequin’s holiday offerings.
Books of Christmas Present…
Books I’ve bought, waiting to be read:
Jingle Bell Bride by Jillian Hart (Love Inspired) — Kindle/Nook — I have no idea what this book is about. I saw the cover in a promo email, fell in insta-love with the title, and went to Amazon, where I hit the 1-Click without even reading the back cover copy.
Jane’s Gift by Karen Erikson (Entangled) — Kindle/Nook — Gwen Hayes mentioned it on Twitter, so I had to look it up. More cover insta-love! And, as I said on Twitter, Christmas! Small town! Fireman! MINE!
Naughty & Nice 3-Story Bundle (Room at the Inn, All I Want for Christmas Is You, and One Perfect Christmas) by Ruthie Knox, Molly O’Keefe and Stefanie Sloane (Loveswept) Kindle/Nook — Ruthie Knox and Molly O’Keefe? 1-Click! And I hope to love Stefanie Sloane’s writing, as well.
Harlequin Romance Holiday Miracles miniseries — I found this miniseries because of Donna’s book, but I love the covers and the blurbs and had to have them!
Snowbound in the Earl’s Castle by Fiona Harper ( #1) — Kindle/Nook
Sleigh Ride with the Rancher by Donna Alward (#2) — Kindle/Nook
Books of Christmas Past…
Here are two really exceptional Christmas romances that I absolutely madly adored. What’s interesting is that I’m drawn to contemporary romances set in the American snow belt, especially New England. But my two favorite holiday romances? One’s a steampunk and the other’s set in Australia, with nary a snowflake in sight.
Roderick Coddington is on a mission to make Cornelia Peabody pay. After identifying her as the thief who stole a priceless FabergĂ© egg from his dying sister, he finds her and shackles a deadly timepiece to her arm. If she doesn’t return the egg by Christmas morning, she will die.
Normally seven days is more than enough time for Cornelia to carry out the perfect crime, but Roderick’s intrusion into her life is beyond distracting. He challenges her mind, and ignites her body with desire she’s never felt before. But worst of all, he threatens the independence she values above all else…
As Roderick spends time with Cornelia, he realizes there’s a lonely soul hidden beneath her beautiful but criminal veneer. Falling for a thief wasn’t part of Roderick’s plan, but plans can change and he has no intention of letting another priceless treasure get away from him.
Meg Jardine, personal assistant extraordinaire, is convinced she’s about to lose her job. Her gorgeous, dark and deeply unimpressed boss, William McMaster, is stranded in Melbourne over Christmas—and it’s all her fault! With her heart in her mouth, she invites the intimidating billionaire home for the holiday….
At Meg’s chaotic, cozy family farm, William’s cold reserve begins to melt away. Suddenly they’re seeing each other in a whole new light, and country girl Meg has shot straight to the top of William’s Christmas list!
And Books of Christmas…that I wrote…
Have any to add? What’s your favorite holiday romance?
