Christmas romances hitting my TBR like a nor’easter and two favorites

I’ve always loved Christmas romances best, but this year? It’s a little crazy. Maybe because I didn’t write a Christmas story this year, I seem to want to read all the Christmas romances in all the land! Here’s what’s landed on my phone already this year, and it’s only the first week of November. There will be many, many more, especially once I have the time to really sit and go through Harlequin’s holiday offerings.

Books of Christmas Present…

As You Wish by Elyssa Patrick — Kindle/Nook — Christmas in Vermont! Rock star! This is my current read.

Books I’ve bought, waiting to be read:

Jingle Bell Bride by Jillian Hart (Love Inspired) — Kindle/Nook — I have no idea what this book is about. I saw the cover in a promo email, fell in insta-love with the title, and went to Amazon, where I hit the 1-Click without even reading the back cover copy.

No Mistletoe Required by Jeanette Murray (Carina Press) — Kindle/Nook — Contemporary, Christmas and Carina Press. It’s like a romance hat trick.

Jane’s Gift by Karen Erikson (Entangled) — Kindle/Nook — Gwen Hayes mentioned it on Twitter, so I had to look it up. More cover insta-love! And, as I said on Twitter, Christmas! Small town! Fireman! MINE!

Naughty & Nice 3-Story Bundle (Room at the Inn, All I Want for Christmas Is You, and One Perfect Christmas) by Ruthie Knox, Molly O’Keefe and Stefanie Sloane (Loveswept) Kindle/Nook — Ruthie Knox and Molly O’Keefe? 1-Click! And I hope to love Stefanie Sloane’s writing, as well.

My Kind of Christmas by Robyn Carr (MIRA) — Kindle/Nook — Virgin River. Christmas. 1-Click!

An Outlaw’s Christmas by Linda Lael Miller (HQN) — Kindle/Nook — Linda Lael Miller. Enough said.

Harlequin Romance Holiday Miracles miniseries — I found this miniseries because of Donna’s book, but I love the covers and the blurbs and had to have them!
Snowbound in the Earl’s Castle by Fiona Harper ( #1) — Kindle/Nook
Sleigh Ride with the Rancher by Donna Alward (#2) — Kindle/Nook

Books Of Christmas Future…
I’ve pre-ordered a few titles, too.
Mistletoe Kisses with the Billionaire by Shirley Jump (Holiday Miracles #3) (Dec 1st) — Kindle/Nook

Romancing the Holiday by Jaci Burton, HelenKay Dimon and Christi Barth — Kindle/Nook — The contemporary holiday collection from Carina Press!

A Galactic Holiday: How the Glitch Saved Christmas\Galileo’s Holiday\Winter Fusion by Anna Hackett, Stacy Gail and Sasha Summers — Kindle/Nook — The sci-fi holiday collection from Carina Press.

Red Hot Holiday: Wish List\I Need You for Christmas\Breath on Embers by Anne Calhoun, K.A. Mitchell and Leah Braemel — Kindle/Nook — the erotic holiday collection from Carina Press.

Books of Christmas Past…

Here are two really exceptional Christmas romances that I absolutely madly adored. What’s interesting is that I’m drawn to contemporary romances set in the American snow belt, especially New England. But my two favorite holiday romances? One’s a steampunk and the other’s set in Australia, with nary a snowflake in sight.

Crime Wave in a Corset: A Steampunk Christmas Novella by Stacy Gail (Carina Press) — Kindle/Nook

Roderick Coddington is on a mission to make Cornelia Peabody pay. After identifying her as the thief who stole a priceless FabergĂ© egg from his dying sister, he finds her and shackles a deadly timepiece to her arm. If she doesn’t return the egg by Christmas morning, she will die.

Normally seven days is more than enough time for Cornelia to carry out the perfect crime, but Roderick’s intrusion into her life is beyond distracting. He challenges her mind, and ignites her body with desire she’s never felt before. But worst of all, he threatens the independence she values above all else…

As Roderick spends time with Cornelia, he realizes there’s a lonely soul hidden beneath her beautiful but criminal veneer. Falling for a thief wasn’t part of Roderick’s plan, but plans can change and he has no intention of letting another priceless treasure get away from him.

Christmas With Her Boss by Marion Lennox (Harlequin Romance) Kindle/Nook

Meg Jardine, personal assistant extraordinaire, is convinced she’s about to lose her job. Her gorgeous, dark and deeply unimpressed boss, William McMaster, is stranded in Melbourne over Christmas—and it’s all her fault! With her heart in her mouth, she invites the intimidating billionaire home for the holiday….

At Meg’s chaotic, cozy family farm, William’s cold reserve begins to melt away. Suddenly they’re seeing each other in a whole new light, and country girl Meg has shot straight to the top of William’s Christmas list!

And Books of Christmas…that I wrote…

In the Spirit (Samhain) — Kindle/Nook — Yes, it’s a ghost Christmas story!

Holiday Sparks (Carina Press) — Kindle/Nook

Mistletoe and Margaritas (Carina Press) — Kindle/Nook

Have any to add? What’s your favorite holiday romance?

There were two that I haven’t read or at least owned so I 1-clicked them and took care of that.

I love CHRISTMAS WITH HER BOSS. Love it. And I’ve read and love all of yours.

    Yay for Christmas reads!

My favorites also include Debbie Macomber Christmas romances particularly her angels, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy.

I don’t usually read angel stories, but I remember reading the first Shirley, Goodness and Mercy story back in the day and it was really sweet and feel-good. Maybe I should catch up on them!

    And thanks, Sharon. MUAH!

I just reread Mistletoe and Margaritas last night as election diversion! And, I look forward to rereading Holiday Sparks too.

Thanks for the list! I am a list freak and think I need to add “Christmas Books” to my Goodreads list. I haven’t read a lot of Christmas specific books so I don’t have a favorite yet. I think this year I will read Mistletoe & Margaritas and Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor novella at least.

My favorite Christmas book is Carole Buck’s A Bride for Saint Nick.

I also really liked Marilyn Pappano’s A Season for Miracles and Some Enchanted Season from her Bethlehem series.

And Memory in Death is one of my favorites of her In Death series.

I would have to add Lisa Kleypas’s Christmas at Friday Harbour. Loved Mark and Maggie. I’ve also enjoyed Holiday Sparks and Mistletoe and Margaritas. Sorry to hear there won’t be a novella this Christmas. But I know Josh and Katie’s story will make up for it. (grin)

Thanks for all the recommendations. I’ll have to look them up, they sound great! Right now I’m into the Harlequin romance books and just got All He Ever Needed….. can’t wait to start reading!! The only Christmas book I’ve read so far is Christmas in High Heels by Gemma Halliday which is free on Amazon right now for Kindle. Its a cute little story especially if you’ve read the high heel mysteries.

Count me in as someone else who loves Christmas with her Boss. I never really read Christmas romances before last year (I was more into Christmas movies…) so this list of yours is deeply appreciated. I’ve got some catching up to do! :)
