And another school year begins

I dropped my boys off for their first day of school of this morning. The Short Kid’s at the middle school for 6th grade and the Teen’s at the high school to rock 12th grade.

I’m surprisingly emotional this morning about my sweet baby boy being a senior. It’s probably a good thing there’s no alcohol in the house or I’d be a drunken, sobbing mess instead of just a sobbing mess.

Hope they both have wonderful school years. I’m old enough that 6th grade was still elementary school. Hope SK adjusts well to middle school.

We don’t start until after Labor Day here. My boys will be in 5th and 8th.

Library Addict, 6th grade is still elementary in our district, mostly b/c the middle school is too small. It’s just big enough for 7th and 8th and that’s it.

The sixth graders look like babies compared to the eighth graders when they’re in the parking lot. Or maybe I just think so because one is MY baby, LOL.
