If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know I bought a Kindle 3 yesterday. Yes, I have a Kindle 3. I bought another one because one day there was a Kindle freebie I thought my husband would like and I didn’t really feel like jumping through the necessary hoops to put it on the nook I’d passed on to him, so I let him read it on the Kindle. He’s very reluctant to give it back and I don’t blame him. Rather than fight or pull rank (and by pull rank I mean point out to him he doesn’t know to get books ONTO the Kindle and I do), I ordered another. (I also ordered the cover with the built-in light because it’s damn near the perfect gadget accessory. And I got the hot pink one because I bought the first one at Staples and they only had black.)
Looking at the list of books and how I was going to divvy them between the two Kindles, I also started exploring the many different books in many different formats I have in many different apps across too many different gadgets, and I’ve decided I’m going to devote my summer into clearing the decks, so to speak. It’s time to burn through some TBR pile and if they’re no good, I’m deleting them. I also need to start using the “sample” function a little more. A lot more. So, buying fewer new books and reading more of the ones I already have is the summer plan. And I mean it this time. No, really. I do.
I’ve had quite a few people ask me if I’ve abandoned the Devlin Group for the Kowalski family. No, I haven’t! I’ve been working on DG4, at times more steadily than others depending on what the Kowalskis are up to, but I have imminent plans for Jack and Isabella and I’ll make an announcement when those plans come together.
And finally, how can I not share this picture of my goofy dog?
