Sunrise Over Texas by M.J. Fredrick

Sunrise Over TexasSunrise Over Texas by M.J. Fredrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sunrise Over Texas is a warm and richly emotional story. It opens with hard times and sorrow, but it’s never depressing or melodramatic and it suits the setting and the characters very well. It’s a quiet and sad story of survival, but I was immediately drawn to the heroine’s hope and determination and enjoyed watching Kit and Trace’s romance unfold against such a backdrop.

I enjoyed the book overall and thought it was a pretty solid read. Sad in some places, very romantic in others. I would have given it four stars, but I didn’t care for … Read More »

Crickets

I’ve had this window open for an hour, beating my head against the wall looking for a blog topic. Since I seem to be turning into the online version of the Crazy Cat Lady, posting way too many pictures of my pets, I decided against yet another photo of Mini or Gizmo or Jinx.

At this point, I’ve burned 60 minutes of writing time with nothing relevant to show for it, so I’m going to simply wish you all a … Read More »
