(As I was starting to type this entry, I received the news CBS has cancelled The Unit. My devastation is so complete, incoherency might ensue.)
I’ve spent the last week or so mentally bouncing back and forth between my Super Sekrit single title contemporary and an Intrigue. I’m madly in love with both of them, so trying to pick one as a higher priority going forward is killing me. There are solid pros and cons for both and, since career planning isn’t exactly my strong suit to begin with, my wheels are spinning.
The thing about spinning wheels—you don’t actually go anywhere.
Coin toss. Eenie meenie miney mo. Magic 8 ball. Scrying. I’m open to almost anything at this point.

I must go mourn losing my beloved Dirt Diver now. 
Is there any way to write both (like a chapter each or a day each or some such) without driving you nuts?
(Can you tell I am firmly in the “not a writer” camp here?)

Write both. Or see which one you love more. Or write both AND see which one you love more. Also, see which one better fits the type of ideas you come up with. I.e., could you write two of ‘em a year?
Um…. write one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Pit the heroes against one another and see which is the most _____ and then write those scenes.
Or, keep doing what you’re doing until you realize you’re putting the heroine from story A into story B and all that other muck.

I really hate they are bring The Unit back. My husband and I love that show!
Can I just say how awesome it is that you’re excited about writing both? So cool. :boogie: I can only write one book at a time – and sometimes not even one – but if you can do more than one at a time, I’d say to rotate day to day.

I’d like to work on both, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t finish either in the foreseeable future. This is, hands down, the hardest part of writing. (At least until I have to write a blurb or synopsis.)

I never watched The Unit but sorry for you. That’s how I felt when they cancelled Women’s Murder Club. I’m glad you’re excited about two books. If you’re excited to write them, that means they’ll be great so I’ll be excited to read them. Good luck!
I had this a lot to say and then KISS came on and it all went out the window. Best advice? Write the one that’s pulling you more. Even though you love them both, one has to be beckoning to you more–or try to write them both. Not like you haven’t before, right? I have faith in you. You can do whatever you set your mind too.

Okay, you know I’m right there with you and I was going through the whole writer ADD thing for a week or so — BUT what normally works for me is write one whole scene for one, then swtich to the other and write one whole scene for it.
I say scene because that’s my way of thing about it, some scenes I write are shorter than others, but I’m not committing to a – word or page count, but I’m getting something ‘whole’ done on one WIP before flipping back to the other – clear as mudd?
