Very unofficial DG3 blurb

I cleared the domestic decks in order to hit the proposal I’m working on hard, so I’ll be type-type-typing away today. (Especially since I lost fifteen minutes last night tearing my hair out and swearing as I tried to remove a rogue period from my document. (Ex)Pounding on the wind chimes

Yesterday I confessed my intense hatred of wind chimes, so today I thought maybe I’d explain that a little. First, if you are a lover of wind chimes, please don’t be offended. It’s not personal. (Unless you move to my neighborhood and try to hang them. Then it’s personal.)

When alarm clocks don't attack

A little backstory: I don’t wake up to a traditional alarm clock. Never had and don’t believe I ever will. That beep beep beep doesn’t penetrate. Seriously, it could be a ten-wheeler backing into my house and I won’t wake up for the beep. Therefore, I use my cellphone as an alarm, since it’s plugged into the charger next to my bed anyway. I set it to “wind chimes” and have no problem waking up to kill it.

Is it June 18th yet?

I love vacations and long weekends, and I’m dying for the end of school. That probably sounds weird, but I’m actually more productive when my kids are home.

For anybody interested, pictures of the Short Kid’s first solo ATV ride are up on the family blog. (I mean solo as in driving his own machine, not out alone in the woods.) I love the one of him alone on the rock.
