Obligatory backstory: The setting is an IM conversation with the usual suspects, during which I tried to type “cowboy” and typed “cowbody”. As we’d also been discussing Angie’s call for submissions for a shifter antho, hilarity ensued. And I, wanting to prolong the procrastination rather than get the filing done, wrote a blurb for the book, which Jaci ordered me to put on my blog.

When mastitis drives Heidi Heiffer away from the herd, she wanders aimlessly across the range, avoiding the savage werecoyotes. Sam Steer’s always been a lone bull, but when he finds Heidi Heiffer, so weak she can’t even regurgitate her own prairie grass, he can’t leave her behind. In his care, she quickly heals and they embark on a sexual stampede that burns as hot as methane gas.
