No Oz for us
New Hampshire doesn’t have tornadoes.
Really. Just ask the news. It amazes me the creativity the media/PtB will use in avoiding the T-word.
Today trees were leveled, numerous homes destroyed and one life was taken by “intense wind moving at a fast rate of speed in a tight circular motion”.

Huh. We call that a tornado down here. I guess everything IS different up North.

We’re just north of tornado alley, but it’d have to have tornado plastered on it before they’d admit it.
Regardless, *hugs* be safe!

Sounds like our weather report from the storm earlier this week. Since the funnel wasn’t observed by experts touching down, it can’t be proven that there was, in fact, a tornado, despite the damage. *shaking head*

They’ve decided it was, officially, an F2.

It only took ‘em till the 11 o’clock news to figure that out.
After living in TN, and having most of the town wiped out a month after we got there, I have to laugh at our “forecasters” and “news” folks here. (For those who don’t know, I’m an hour north of Shannon) You’ve got it sooo right. The lengths they will go to to avoid the “T” word. At least I don’t have to keep a storm closet here with cat and dog cages, food, water etc. Those rotating thing-a-ma-jiggys only show up once a year or so.

I graduated from high school in Missouri and, though I never experienced a T-word, I’ve seen the damage and have a very intense fear of them. One of the reasons I came home, actually.
