I guess I’d have to include a list of what I think are good excuses:

1. She did tell him. He even married her because of it. And yet…still a secret.

2. The hero shot the heroine.

I agree with AnnMarie and you. I’ve done put it down and moved on to something better.

I think with secret babies, it’s all in the execution, however, there should also be a set of :rulez: that authors have to follow. Maybe editors can give them YOUR list?

So… are you suggesting a woman who has half a dozen secret babies with half a dozen different secret daddies because she’s still not clear how that whole conception thing works wouldn’t make a good romance novel heroine?
