A conversation with the short kid
One of the things that didn’t get mentioned in the “7 Random Things About Me” meme is the fact I talk to other drivers constantly while I drive.
Nice blinker.
Vertical pedal on the right, moron.
You do not want to hit me today.
What part of merge do you not understand?
The following conversation took place yesterday on the way home from school:
Me: It’s my right of way. Mine! I swear, there should be a Stupid Test to get your driver’s licence.
Short Kid: But then you wouldn’t be able to drive and we’d have to walk everywhere.
Me: Oh, excuuuuuuuuuse me?
Short Kid: ‘Cause you’re not good at math.
Me: Not being good at math doesn’t make you stupid.
Short Kid: It doesn’t make you too smart.

Awww, god love ‘em.
(The first part could be me. I say the EXACT same things.)

On talking to other drivers as you drive? I swear Shannon, we MUST be related. This is just one more thing I do as well. “Ever heard of a turn signal?” “Yeah, turning in front of me when there’s no room and then slowing down - I love that!” And some other stuff :censor:, that I try not say when my kids are in the car.

Much like my father and husband talk to the TV while watching sports! I’m sure there will be lots of conversation on Sunday during the NFL play-offs. -Patti

The short kid — he’s a caution.

I think the only reason the short kid has survived 7 years is the fact I’m usually laughing too hard to catch him.
