Since we’re socked in by a nor’easter, I’m getting to watch a little more pregame then usual, and can I just say this whole Patriots vs the Jets rivalry coverage is cracking me up? They’re making out like it’s a coaching change-up exacerbated by Mangini’s A Whiny Rat Bastard-gate.

Our desire to annihilate the Jets predates Mangini’s birth, for crap’s sake. It surpasses any kind of Patriots vs. Colts rivalry (which is more Brady vs. Manning, anyway) and is as firmly entrenched as the Red Sox vs the Yankees rivalry.

Three things were bestowed upon me at birth: A slap on the ass by the doctor, a kiss from my mother, and an overwhelming hatred of the New York Jets. This Patriots vs. Jets thing? Not new. Seriously.
