So…I disappeared. The weekend started well—got the Mustang shiny—but then it went all to crap. Fast foward to this evening…

The short kid went for his inaugural semi-solo drive. He’ll still ride with me for most of the rides, but he’ll be flying solo for short jaunts. He did really well, with good control and—most importantly—he immediately followed all directions. I wish you could see his face.

He did so well, as a matter of fact, that next time, he won’t have to drag Dad around with him.

Anyway, so hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back with actual writing-related stuff.
