Don’t know about you, but every single Russian story I’ve ever proposed has been shot outta the water. In fact, most of ‘em never even made it into the water before they were toast.
I saw that, Stef, and had a pretty similar reaction. Especially since I have an outline for an idea which incorporated the fall of the Romanov empire that I was really excited about while hashing it out with an editor….until she left to go to another house in a non-acquiring position.
Someday…
