There are indepth romance writing reference books for every occasion. You can get a how-to on making sure your hero refuses the first time the call to adventure is issued. Want to map out every detail of your heroine’s life from birth to cute meet? There’s a book for that. Even if you’re a Dummy, you can write a romance. There’s even a reference book offering cliched phrases to plug into your manuscript at will.

But every year, a new definitive romance reference book is published, and I just got mine. At the grocery store.

    You know there is an urban legend attached to the guys who get dubbed People’s sexiest. Like immediately afterward their careers go in the toilet or their relationships fizzle, etc. The dh pointed me to an article on it not long ago!!

    I don’t know about People’s sexiest, but I know when a Boston athlete appears on the cover of Sports Illustrated, all of New England throws in the towel. Definitely a bad, bad thing. :nod:
