Pain in my future

The weekend is here. The husband is upstairs right now getting dressed, a simple act that’s going to launch a two-day stint that will kick my ass.

We have to finish the railroad tie wall this weekend, as well as the removal of a ton of dirt by hand. We have to get it done because we only have 9 days til winter parking ban, and we still have to have a layer of gravel brought in and then cement poured before we can put the MGs up there.

I also have edits to finish for Forever Again. Clearly somebody didn’t read my horoscope this month in which I was told that every word I write will be golden.

:neener:

Bring on the Bengay and Applebee’s New England Mudslides. I’m going to need them.

Don’t say that. ED is amazing, right? Don’t scare me.

My mother had a favorite saying when I was a child, and she was usually wielding a fine-toothed comb when she said it…

You have to suffer to be beautiful.

    ED’s the fine-toothed comb. Doesn’t mean she’s not amazing, just…fine-toothed.

I do consider myself very lucky, however, to have the privilege of working with two fine-toothed combs. Having an editor who says “Hey, looks like a good hat day to me” would suck.

No kidding. A good editor is a prize.

Speaking of prizes, I’m not entered to win any Godiva! Better fix that. Because I’ll need the chocolate when ED starts cracking the whip over my head…
