Speaking of TSTL…

If you’re going to plagiarize somebody’s book—with merely a find & replace name change—should you:

A) At least change the title?

B) Not also copy and paste the actual publisher’s blurb?

C) At least not use N*Sync? C’mooooooon.

Blatant theft found here (I don’t know how long the link will work. The whole shebang will no doubt be yanked soon.) UPDATE: THE PURLOINED STORIES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

She’s being most delightfully shredded.

UPDATE: One of the authors plagiarized, Douglas Clegg, has blogged about it: here

Dang methinks it’s already been yanked. C’mon Shan, I’m a frustrated ambulance chaser here… gimme the dirt, who (whom?) did she plagiarize?

    X

  2. Karen S. Says:

One of the comments says “You mean *steal* another Slayer story from Karen Kohler” … not familiar with Karen Kohler’s work myself, but that’s the best clue I can find.

  3. Shannon Says:

The stories appear to have been taken down, but there were several authors plagiarized, including our friend Jaci.

This :censor: literally took Jaci’s book, changed the character names and posted it on the internet as her own. Didn’t even change the title. Dumbass.

  4. Ann Says:

    HUh? Wha? What’d I miss?

  5. Gabriele Says:

I hope the authors sue that bastard. That’s a crime even if (s)he didn’t get any money out of it.

  6. Jaci Burton Says:

She could have at least plagiarized me to CSI or something more compelling than NSync. Geez.
