I cannot string more than several related sentences together right now. Between driving myself nuts with humming, banging out pages, and our third day of 100+ degrees with no end ’til at least Thursday, my brain cells is fried like eggs on a July sidewalk. See? I can’t even move past cliches.

I finally got Isabel Sharpe’s Thrill Me, which is the second book set in the Hush Hotel. Why did it take me so long to get it? Because, in perusing the spines, I was looking for a Hush flash, instead of the Do Not Disturb flash. Doh.

On the flipside, there were three or four Blazes I didn’t even look at because of the flashes. I knew from the spines they were part of a series, and I hadn’t read those series, so I didn’t even look at them. I know sales and marketing like them, but I really wish they’d limit the number of series going on.

I’m doing the name thing again. I realized while typing in my little conversation with the non-Anakin Jack that he’s the third hero I have named Jack. I’m going to have to buy a baby name book, actually use it, and cross the names out in black Sharpie as I use them. How annoying. And bringing up the name has the historical Jack muttering away in there now, too.

Damn the voices, and damn their recycled names. Bad author. Bad.

Hey, Jaci had her site redesigned and it looks awesome! And Ann just launched hers, and it’s one of the coolest I’ve seen yet. Very her.

Ummm….okay. Jack’s calling me. Two of them. I think the third one’s locked in the drawer.
