I saw it yesterday! :woot:

Loved it! Was it perfect or was the story masterly crafted? No. But I LOVED it!

I'm very glad the short kid was happy to go to Grammy's with his new Thomas video. I think there were a couple of scenes that maybe would have bothered him, but even moreso was the decibel level. His ears are pretty sensitive, and I've never, ever been in a theatre with the sound turned up so loud. It was actually uncomfortable during the battle scenes, and you could see people hunching their shoulders in reflex a bit.

As soon as the theme song started, the short kid would have been climing over seat backs to get out of there.

But the tall kid loved it as much as I did. We're not sure how the husband feels yet. We have to wait for his ears to stop ringing so he can hear us ask him.

Hmm. We saw it on Wednesday night. While it was 'darker' than the other two (of this last trilogy) I don't know if the couple of scenes that rate as 'dark/disturbing' woud be be traumatizing to youngsters, and in fact saw a number of kids coming out of the screening before us, at our sceen, and in line for the next.

I blogged about the movie. I, er, didn't care for it much. (Didn't hate it, but didnt love it. Ultimately, disappointed.) My son (17) rated it 2.5 out of 5.

Oooh, good idea, Jaci!

I wasn't impressed with I, Beth, but II did a pretty good job of holding my interest with Anakin's story. Unfortunately, many of the actors in I and II were as wooden as Pinocchio in their delivery. Too bad they called off yummy Liam Neeson in I. He was actually pretty good.

But I'm DYING to see III. We might have it lined up for tomorrow morning. Might.

I'm planning on seeing it later tonight. Can't wait! I wasn't fond of the last couple :snore:, so I'm really hoping this is more in line with the original trilogy.

Must go see Elvis Stormtrooper now.

You can always tell him you'll go see it first, and if it's not as bad as you think you can always go again and take him along.

Having seen the movie today myself, I'm not sure it would be appropriate for a young child. There are some scenes that are quite gruesome. I happened to review the movie in my blog if you wanted to know some details. However, I was sitting next to a father and his son. The little boy couldn't have been more than four or five, and he seemed to handle the movie fine. It did push the PG-13 envelope with some scenes though.
