Laughing at myself

Since I couldn’t get the comment smilies to work, I decided to try out the static pages feature of WordPress. So over there in the links —> you’ll find Around the Site. I’ve got the bio page up, with the book page to come as soon as I can wrap my head around the blurb. I figure it’s a good-for-now fix, although I’ll probably add a graphic to the links to make them stick out a bit more.

I love your bio! Made me ROFL :)

Mine’s in 3rd person and I keep meaning to change it. Someone told me once that was the only way to do bios. I should know better than to listen to rules.

(Oh - you might already know this, but as I’m writing the comments, they’re disappearing under your sidebar a little bit…I’m using IE *g*)

I like other people’s 3rd person bios. They’re probably considered more professional. But I was totally having trouble taking myself seriously and the block lifted when I gave myself permission to babble.

(Oh yeah. I was supposed to fix that comment box thing, wasn’t I? Have I mentioned how much I despise IE? )

Just checking. IE’s still not playing nice with the comment bar. Blech blech blech.

speaking of bios, hon, I can’t wait to see your bio pop up at ellorascave.com… You *DO* know your names there… under authors?
*wink* I was thrilled to see it there.

I’ve seriously got to redo my bio =( It’s sad. Don’t give up on the smileys!

I’m going to brave the scary website gremlins to say I like the first person bio… surely the primary purpose of a bio is to give readers an idea of you. Doesn’t matter if its first or third person, as long as it does that job well.

I did see that! I was going through the bios to get a feel for the tone/length of them and saw Ann’s. Wooohooo! Then I looked for mine.

And you’re very right, Anna. That just happened to be the only way I could write mine. *g*
